Back in the day, when all equalizers were analog (a box of resistors, capacitors and inductors), no two studios EQs sounded the same. A Pultec sounds nothing like a Neve which sounds nothing like a Fairchild, etc.
The Urei 545 was popular for its 4 bands of parametric EQ covering 20 Hz to 16 kHz, its ease of use and its sound.
Carve the Perfect Space
EQ45 allows you to gracefully shape the contours of an audio signal by selectively boosting or attenuating the signal’s frequency components. Audio pros, back in the day, used the Urei 545 to mold a track to fit nicely in the mix. With the EQ45, you can too.
The high resolution and flexibility of its filters enable you to perform subtle or drastic changes to audio material without introducing harshness. The fact is that unpleasant artifacts often result from digital filters. EQ45 is a hi-Q filter (very selective) and the limited dynamic range of some plugins just won’t cut it. Just listen.
